VISIBLE
A 6-week SEO and AI search upskilling programme for freelancers.
Limited to six places.
Next intake: Autumn 2026

"Can you optimise our content for ChatGPT?"
Most freelancers working with content in 2026 are going to get this question from their clients. Perhaps you already have - and you struggled to answer.
If you know that SEO and AI search are critical for your clients' visibility, but you don't feel confident putting yourself forward as a provider of these services, this programme is for you.
Over 6 focused weeks, we'll uncover how SEO and AI search work. We'll try out tools, practise auditing content and learn techniques to optimise for visibility in both Google and the major LLMs (ChatGPT etc). Most importantly, we'll develop a strategy to convert your new knowledge into a profitable stream of revenue for your freelance business.
I am limiting the number of places to just six, because I work best when I can offer a high level of individual support.

Programme details
We’ll meet online for an hour each week for 6 weeks, learning and applying skills across SEO and AI search.
In the first four weeks, we'll lay the foundations of your knowledge, particularly in AI search. The final two weeks will be about applying your expertise to your clients' content strategies so you can design a new service.
Our Week 6 session will be a practical workshop where you will create your new SEO/AI search offer and pitch it to the group for feedback. We'll wrap up with a clear action plan to launch and sell your new offer.
Throughout the programme you’ll have access to a Slack or WhatsApp group where you can receive support from Emily and your fellow participants. All sessions will be recorded and you’ll have lifetime access to the recordings.

Meet your trainer: Emily Hill
Hello! I'm an independent trainer with over 20 years’ experience, including a 16-year stint running my own copywriting agency. I closed the agency in 2022 to do what I enjoyed most: training and developing writers.
Last year, I became the first ever copywriting tutor at the University of Cambridge, when I launched my ‘Copywriting: getting started’ course at the university’s Professional and Continuing Education department. The course proved so popular, it sold out, and I've been asked to develop a follow-on course. This will launch later in 2026.
I have also delivered my ‘Copywriting for SEO’ workshop at brightonSEO (Europe’s largest search marketing conference) since 2014. This has consistently been one of the conference's best-selling courses, with a number of attendees requesting their own in-house versions.
My private training clients include Confused.com, the Meningitis Research Foundation, Henley Business School, the University of East London, and the British Library.
Agenda
As the group is limited to just 6 participants, I'll arrange exact dates and times to suit everyone's availability.
Week1: The Search Revolution
The only place we can start is by examining how search is fundamentally different now to its pre-AI days. It's not even a case of ChatGPT vs Google, because Google is increasingly AI-powered, too.
In our introductory week, we'll:
Investigate Google's new AI features (Overviews, AI Mode)
Walk-through how people really use ChatGPT, Perplexity etc. to get answers
Identify opportunities for freelancers to help their clients achieve visibility in AI-powered search
Week 2: Making Content Discoverable
New rules for search mean new rules for optimising content. This week will be an intensive run-through of the specific actions we need to take to make content discoverable by Google and LLMs.
We will:
Master traditional SEO fundamentals (these haven't changed!)
Practise structuring content to be search-friendly
Edit case study content to improve readability and accessibility
Week 3: Google's AI Overviews
The AI Overview is Google's new 'Position Zero, with nearly half of all searches returning one. As freelancers, our clients need to be included in these overviews if they're going to be visible.
So, this week we will:
Investigate the sources of AI Overview citations
Explore strategies to get our clients' content included
Research query types that are less likely to return an AI Overview
Week 4: LLM Citations
Now we come to the "Can you optimise for ChatGPT?" question. LLMs work in a fundamentally different way to traditional search engines, meaning they have a different approach when mentioning brands and linking to sources.
This week, we will:
Understand how ChatGPT and other LLMs select content to cite
Investigate what happens when LLMs select links from web searches
Explore strategies to optimise our clients' content for LLM citations
Week 5: Content Strategy
After four weeks of immersing ourselves in the nitty gritty of SEO and AI search, it's time to think about how we plan to update our clients' content strategies. Which content should we optimise first and how should we prioritise? We're building a foundation ready for our final week in which is all about selling this as a service.
This week we will:
Look for 'quick wins' to prove the value of SEO and AI search optimisation to our clients
Develop an approach to audit our clients' content libraries and uncover gaps
Put systems in place to track and report our results
Week 6: Business Planning
This is where we make you indispensable! We're going to create your individual business plan to start packaging your new SEO and AI search knowledge into a profitable client service.
We will:
Analyse needs within your current client base
Develop your specific offers
Create a mini-marketing plan to launch your new services
Frequently Asked Questions
How technical do I need to be to join VISIBLE?
Not technical at all! This programme is designed for writers and marketers, not developers. If you can write content and use Google Docs, you can learn everything we cover.
Do I need to know SEO or AI already?
No, not at all. The experience you need is in freelancing, not SEO or AI. I'm used to running sessions for mixed ability groups so I'll meet you wherever you are.
I'm already busy with work. How much time will this take?
The programme is designed for working freelancers, so I've kept the time commitment realistic. The weekly sessions are capped at an hour, and they're all recorded in case a freelancing emergency crops up and you can't make it (it happens to us all!)
Can't I learn this stuff for free on YouTube?
You can give it a go - there's free SEO and AI material everywhere. But I'd make two points: 1) it's overwhelming and time-consuming to comb through endless videos and articles, hunting for the nuggets that are actually useful. And 2) it's impersonal and untargeted. VISIBLE is a small group programme, limited to 6 people, where I help YOU learn SEO and AI search to add revenue to YOUR business.

The investment
The programme fee is £497 + VAT and I am happy to offer payment plans if you prefer to pay in instalments.
I am also offering a full money-back guarantee, valid for the first two weeks of the programme. If, for any reason, you feel you are not getting value for money, just let me know and I'll give you a full refund.
